Newmanstown, PA (July 23) -  The P1 Insurance USAC National Midget Tour will make the third annual appearance at Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in Newmanstown, PA, Battleground Lanco: Part III will take place on Saturday evening, August 4, 2018.

The inaugural appearance of the USAC National Midget Tour in 2016 was a jaw dropping event which featured Tanner Thorson's spin and win. In 2017, Tanner Thorson once again came out victorious in an entertaining event.

This season, current P1 Insurance USAC National Midget Championship points leader Logan Seavey leads the Midwest contingent into the Keystone State for PA Midget Week. The National tour’s two-time winner, driving one of the potent Keith Kunz Midgets, makes his Pennsylvania debut after opening a lot of eyes with an impressive top-ten effort in his initial NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Eldora Speedway on July 18.

“Sunshine” Tyler Courtney, “the Macho Man” Brady Bacon, Justin Grant, and 2017 USAC National Midget Champion Spencer Bayston are just some of the USAC hot shoes expected to compete in Battleground Lanco: Part III. A few of the drivers from the USAC Eastern Midget Series (formerly ARDC) getting set to defend their home turf include “the Phenom” Alex Bright, this season’s hottest driver on the Eastern Midget circuit, Adam Pierson, Ryan Greth, and Kenny Miller III, the former ARDC Rookie of the Year.

Joining the USAC Midgets on the racing card will be the Wingless 600 sprints. This event for Wingless 600s will be a part of Hyper Racing Speedweek. In 2018 there will be no pre-entry for the Wingless 600s and there will be no limit on the number of entries.
